Der Dirigent Andreas Kowalewitz am Klavier und der Hornist Klaus Wallendorf am Mikrofon. Beide auch bekannt als Operanden einer größeren Formation ähnlichen Namens, die einen Tag später an gleicher Stelle auftreten wird...
Um die heiterkeitsdienliche Spontaneität der Bühnendarstellung zu gewährleisten, reduziert das Duo Proben oder andere vergleichbare, starre Vorbereitungsrituale auf ein souveränes Minimum und unternimmt eine immer öfter beinahe bühnenreife konzertante Gratwanderung zwischen philharmonischem Unernst und virtuosen Albernheiten. Anlässlich des 20. Geburtstages der BAR JEDER VERNUNFT gibt es nun ein Wiedersehen mit der patenten Rößl-Wirtin Josepha Vogelhuber und ihrem liebeskranken Zahlkellner Leopold! Mit den hinreißenden Marionetten des "KOBALT Figurentheater Lübeck", Andreja Schneider und Tobias Bonn in den Gesangsrollen sowie dem musikalischen Leiter Johannes Roloff am Klavier weht ein Stück wieder lebendig gewordener eigener Theatergeschichte durch das Spiegelzelt.
"Wann gab es das zuletzt?", fragte sich die Berliner Presse im Jahre 1994: "Im Morgengrauen lange Schlangen vor einer Theaterkasse, mit Thermoskannen und Wolldecken-Drängeleien und Bestechungsversuchen - nur um eine Karte fürs 'Rössl' zu ergattern. Wo erlebt man das noch? Mindestens dreißig Minuten donnernden Applaus nach jeder Vorstellung."
Die Antwort lautete: In der BAR JEDER VERNUNFT.
Zweifellos gehört die Inszenierung des Singspiels "Im Weißen Rößl am Wolfgangsee" im Jahre 1994 zu den ganz großen Erfolgen des Spiegelzelts in der Schaperstraße.
Ein beinahe kabarettistisch anmutender Plot über Berliner, die sich vor österreichischem Alpenpanorama rührend in schwierigen Liebesgeschichten verlieren, eine Traumbesetzung, in der sich die Granden der Berliner Sprechbühnen Otto Sander, Walter Schmidinger und Gerd Wameling mit den damaligen Newcomern der aufstrebenden Chanson-Szene Max Raabe, Meret Becker und Die Geschwister Pfister vereinten. Dazu ein gehöriger Schuss Kismet: das waren die Zutaten für einen Theatererfolg, der vom ersten Tag an zur Legende wurde, und dessen Echo diese kleine Figurenproduktion mit den beiden Originalprotagonisten ist.

The Criminal Castrati's Anarchic Brechtian Blues Trio is back in Berlin!
Legendary post-punk pioneers The Tiger Lillies return with a show celebrating characters found on the edge of humanity. Martyn Jacques, the lead singer and founder of the band spent most of his twenties in a flat above a brothel, peeping through his window at the buzz of London’s lowlife, and he has been writing about whores, gangsters and freaks his entire 22 year career. In this show The Tiger Lillies unveil a whole host of future classics alongside some of their earliest material.
Their music is a mixture of pre-war Berlin cabaret, anarchic opera and gypsy music, echoing the voices of Bertolt Brecht and Jacques Brel. The Grammy nominated band shock, amuse and entertain in a postmodern vaudeville way, with their inimitable in-yer-face shows, where no limit should be taken for granted.
The Tiger Lillies defy any singular description and operate within their own eccentric definitions. Formed in 1989, they tour the world both with the Shockheaded Peter production and by themselves, developing a dedicated following from New York and San Francisco in the US to St Petersburg in Russia. Their songs (once described as 'Surrealist Pornography') are captured on numerous self-released albums including Brothel to the Cemetery, Farmyard Filth, Ad Nauseam, Shockheaded Peter and Circus Songs.
