Gunkl. He is the Austrian "philosopher among cabaret artists", who entangles himself and his entranced audience in ever more absurd loops of thought with a wonderfully sonorous voice. Gunkl guides us into his bizarre world of thought with relish and a mischievous delight in linguistic finesse. The passionate stage performer impresses with his minimalist aesthetics and, incidentally, is also a great musician.  

Günther Paal, alias Gunkl, is a cabaret institution in Austria. As a solo cabaret artist, he has won a number of prizes, including the Salzburger Stier, the Prix Pantheon and the German Cabaret Prize.
