For the ninth time, they are ringing in the year with us, the "New Year's shows of a special kind" with Pigor and Eichhorn and band. "Chansons for the third millennium" is how the Viennese newspaper "Falter" described the programmes of the two recognised innovators of German-language chanson.

Armed with their good-humoured band, who effortlessly swing, jazz and pop away all New Year's Eve complaints, they open the door and perspective on the almost virgin year: bass, guitar, drums and Eichhorn together provide the necessary musical focus when Thomas Pigor throws pointed spotlights on the day's main events in social sideshows.
